Holiday Gift Guide: FlipBelt

*Product Sample Recived. Contains affiliate link*

I started Couch to 5K last summer. Couch to 5K is a program that helps you run 30 minutes straight or 5K in 9 weeks. This was good for me because I never ran or jogged before. They start you of with walking and running intervals. As weeks progress you will be running longer and walking less. Because C25k is an app, I have to always run with my iPhone with me.

I was using an armband to carry my phone. It was fine at first but after a few weeks of using it, it keeps sliding down when I'm running. Now I have to put it in a tightest setting and even then sometimes it would still start falling off.

Then I heard about FlipBelt. I've heard so many great things about it from other runners. I was really excited when they sent me one to try.

I was amazed the first time I ran with my FlipBelt. I had my iPhone, car key, and eyeglasses with me and I did not even notice I had all that with me while running. The FlipBelt held it all securely without any bouncing or sliding down. I received the x-small and it fits me perfectly. It sits comfortably on my waist. It doesn't ride up or slide down while you are running. The whole time I was running, I forgot I was wearing one.

FlipBelts comes in different colors. As you can see I picked the pink one. They also come in different sizes. Make sure you get the right size. The material is stretchy so if you are not sure what size to get, I recommend buying one size smaller.

I love my FlipBelt so much that I wear it not just when I go for a run. I wear it sometimes when I go grocery shopping. My phone, debit card, money and store card all fit inside my FlipBelt without being too bulky. In fact you won't even noticed I'm carrying all that with me. I can just go in an out of the store without carrying any purse or wallet.  It's very convenient specially when I shop with my 3 girls.

iArrow Armband Review

*Product Sample Received. Contains Affiliate link*

I used to listen to music while I run but I hated when my headphone keeps falling off. I have to constantly putting it back on every few minutes so I stopped. Even though I don't listen to music while running I always bring my iPhone with me when I run because I use Nike + app to track my distance and pace.

I've always used an armband to carry my iPhone when running. I think the only reason I bought my first armband is because it's pink. I wish I took the time and research a little. After a few weeks of using it, the armband is all stretched out. It keeps sliding down while  I'm running. I'm constantly adjusting it. Now I have to adjust it to the tightest setting so it will not slide down when I'm running.

I was recently sent an iArrow Armband to try. When I opened it, I know right away that it's better quality, well made, and durable compare to my old one. iArrow Armband is a 3 in 1 product that includes an armband, a phone cover, and a screen protector. What's great about this compare to my old one is that I can access all my phone buttons without taking it out. It is lightweight and very easy to adjust. The armband feels strong and durable. It's not as soft as my old one but it still feels comfortable. The armband is also washable.

I've only been using it a few times but so far I really like it. If you are looking for an armband definitely give iArrow a try. They fully stand behind their product which means that if there's a problem with your armband whatsoever, they will refund your money. They will even send you another one for FREE!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Friday Five – Fitness Tunes

Happy Friday everyone! Today's Friday Five is Favorite Tunes while running or working out. I don't listen to music when I run. I used to but I hated when I had to constantly fix my headphones. So I gave up listening to music while running. And now I'm used to it and I prefer it that way. I feel more relax without it.

I still want to share  my favorite dancing tunes though. These are on repeat at home. My girls love these songs.

My favorite fuel before and after running

This is my first time joining Friday Five linkup which is hosted by Eat Pray Run DCMar on the Run and You Signed Up for What?! Today's topic is favorite fuel for running or any other fitness activity.

1. Toasted whole wheat bread with egg and a half avocado - This is my favorite breakfast before going for a run. Almost always this is what I eat. .I don't have to wait too long to run. I can run in half an hour and I won't have any problem cramping.

2. Toasted whole wheat bread with PB&C Dark Chocolate Dreams and a half avocado - another favorite pre run breakfast. This is soooo good!!!

3. Apple with peanut butter - This is my favorite post run snack. I have been eating so much apples since I started running!

4. Banana with PB&C Dark Chocolate Dreams - This another favorite post run snack.

5. Two scrambled eggs with tomatoes and mushrooms and a whole wheat bread - This is my favorite meal after a run. All that protein and carbs is just what I need to fill me up after a run.

Weekly Running Miles

Last week I was not feeling well. I had a really bad cold and cough so the whole week I didn't run. I missed 9 miles to reach my 50 miles goal for September :(

Monday

After not running for more than a week it felt so good to be running again. If my throat was not bothering me from the cold air I would have kept going. Even with the hills my pace was pretty good :)

Thursday

Ran around the block again. Average miles/min is 11'8

Friday

I don't usually run back to back. I always have a rest day in between. But my daughter has a soccer game and my husband is working Saturday. I won't have time to run.

Weekly Mileage: 16 Miles

Three months ago I started couch to 5k also known as c25k. It's a program that will help you run 5K or 30 minutes straight in 9 weeks. Starting this program is probably the best thing I ever did for myself in a long time. In three months I lost more than 15 pounds. I feel great and healthier.

I will write another post about my experience with c25k and the app I used hopefully soon. But first I wanted to start posting my weekly running mileage. I'm currently using nikeplus. If you're on nikeplus feel free to leave your username in the comment. I would love to add you.

These photos are also posted in my instagram account.

Monday

Did my run while she played with daddy in the playground.

Wednesday

Nice slow easy 7 miles run...this is the best kind of running...when you don't care how fast you're going...you just run...This is my farthest run.

Friday

This is what I always eat before running...toasted whole wheat bread with egg and half avocado :)
