Adventure Time: Finn the Human on DVD 11/25

Whose ready for adventure! In Adventure Time: Finn the Human, join Finn and his buddy Jake the dog in this DVD following their adventures in the land of Ooo. As a fan of this Cartoon Network smash hit series, this DVD comes jam-packed with 16 hilarious episodes from fan favorite seasons.

Created by Pendleton Ward, this Emmy nominated series that plays on Cartoon Network on Mondays at 7:30 pm and replays throughout the week follows the everyday adventures a pair of unlikely heroes , Finn the Human and Jake, his shapeshifting dog friend. Watch as they travel the land of Ooo and encounter strange creatures such as the Ice King, Princess Bubblegum, and Marceline the vampire Queen.

My daughters and I are fans of this show, they are reminiscent of dungeon and dragons type of adventure show with a sci fi and magical feel. Finn, as the last remaining, non mutated, human lives by an honor code, helping the innocent, and trying to be a force of good, with his friend/ adoptive brother Jake, a talking dog imbued with shapeshifting properties. My daughters love the funny adventures and storyline, and there are lessons that you can derive from the show (such as keeping your word and helping out a friend) despite its whimsical nature. We often use one liners and jokes from the show, such as " Mathematical !" and " redudiculous", my daughters and I sometimes do the Finn and Jake "Trust pound" when in agreement over something.

Beginning November 25, 2014 for only $24.98, fans will be able to get nearly 3 hours of content and an exclusive Finn backpack (wear it for Halloween or Comic con as him), perfect for this holiday season and a must have for your Adventure Time fan.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks on Blu-ray & DVD Today

*Product Sample Received*

We saw the movie My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks about a month ago and my girls really loved the movie. They were so excited when they saw we have the Blu-ray & DVD copy. They love everything and anything with Little Pony. They all have different favorite characters and pretend to be one. Olivia is Pinkie Pie, Emma is Rainbow Dash, and Sophia is Flutter Shy. I love watching them singing and dancing along with the music. They've watched it so many times that they've already memorized all the songs. I admit I like their songs too. I find myself singing a long with my girls!

In My Little Pony Equestria Girls, released in fall 2013, Twilight Sparkle’s crown was stolen from the Crystal Empire, and she pursued the thief, Sunset Shimmer, into an alternate world where she finds herself turned into…a teenage girl! To regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight had to learn how to fit into this strange, new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High.

In My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks, Canterlot High (CHS) is hosting a musical showcase, and Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy are going to be performing with their new band, The Rainbooms. But when The Dazzlings, a new girl group, arrive at CHS and convince everyone to turn the friendly showcase into a Battle of the Bands, tensions mount between the competing musical acts. A now-reformed Sunset Shimmer realizes that The Dazzlings may not be ordinary girls and are after something far more sinister than just being named Best Band at Canterlot High. The Rainbooms call on Princess Twilight to restore harmony to their world to help them perform a musical counter-spell so that they can win a battle that now determines the fate of the entire school.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks is now available for pre-order at Amazon.comShoutFactory.comTarget.comand Walmart.com, and will be in stores everywhere October 28.

Animaniacs Wakko's Wish Now on DVD

*Product Sample Received*

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) brings viewers Steven Spielberg Presents: Animaniacs Wakko’s Wish, the feature length animated adventure available on DVD for the first time. It’s musical, magical mayhem in this wintery tale that includes 15 original songs. This release will be available in stores October 7, 2014 and will retail for $19.97 SRP.

Wakko's Wish is a feature length animated movie based on Animaniac's, a group of characters from the mind of Steven Spielberg. I remember watching the animated series from Warner Bros during my childhood. This movie reminds of that, with its crazy characters ( three siblings Yakko, Wakko and Dot, Slappy and Skippy squirrel and the mouse bent of taking over the world, Brain and his sidekick, Pinky.) The movie's plot has some maturity sprinkled but nevertheless is abundant in singing, dancing, slapstick comedy and zany jokes. Overall, a hilarious and fun ride for the whole family, as well as a throwback to old school, saturday morning cartoons.

The outrageously zany Yakko, Wakko and their sister Dot star in Steven Spielberg Presents: Animaniacs Wakko’s Wish, the feature-length animated adventure featuring song-filled, joke-stuffed Animaniacs zaniness. Life is not the same in the little village of Acme Falls. The once-cheerful villagers are being taxed to the extreme by the greedy Baron Von Plotz. To make matters worse, Dot has fallen ill and needs medical attention. Out of options, Wakko wishes upon a star. His wish is granted, but with a catch – he must find the fallen star and touch it for his wish to come true. Word gets out about the lucky star, and the race is on! Pinky and the Brain, Slappy and Skippy Squirrel, Mindy and Buttons and many more well-knownAnimaniacs co-stars hit the road to animated pandemonium as they sprint to reach the star first. Join the hilarious hustle and your wildest wish will come true – an abundance of Animaniacs mania!

*Product Sample Received*

Those meddling kids and their lovable dog are back! In Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. Viewers will get wrapped up in 26 captivating episodes featured on this four-disc set (retailing for $26.99 SRP) available in stores October 7, 2014.

My kids love this show, especially my oldest daughter Olivia, she loves the part where Scooby and the gang solves the mystery, amidst all the monsters, goons and the usual hi jinx. To me, its a throwback to the older version of the show and takes me back to saturday morning cartoons (a bygone era).  With the more gory, grim and ultra realistic shows people watch nowadays, sometimes its nice to watch old school cartoons such as these.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's Masquerade is Now on DVD!

My family recently had a chance to see
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Masquerade before it was released.
This is one of my kids favorite shows so they were very excited to see it. Of course they loved it! I was not surprise..they love anything Minnie and Mickey Mouse! It came with Disney’s Mickey Mote. We already had one before so my kids knows exactly how it work. The Mickey Mote can be used with any Disney Preschool DVD that includes the Discovery Mode feature. Right now there are more than 11 titles that can be used with the remote control including the
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Masquerade. Setting up the remote was very easy.

The
The Mickey Mote makes it even more fun and interactive for the kids. It allows them to respond to questions, throughout the story, about scenes they just watched by pressing one of four color-coded buttons on the remote. Discovery Mode features include two levels of play, which provides more challenging questions as the child grows.

She have seen it many times and every time she watches it she wears her princess costume! Of course our favorite part of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is the dancing part! Where everyone in our family dance. And Libby is the only allowed to copy Donald Duck's dance!

And as a special option for consumers, Disney has packaged a version of the DVD to include the exclusive Mickey Mote – a child-friendly handheld remote control, shaped like Mickey ears, that takes children’s viewing experience to a whole new level of play. The DVD + Mickey Mote Play Set is the ultimate value for moms and equally fun and engaging for kids! The Mickey Mote uses infrared wireless technology and may not be compatible with all devices.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated S1 V1 DVD Review

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated S1 V1,available for the first time on DVD January 25, 2011, from Warner Home Video (WHV). Featuring episodes from the newest incarnation of the popular Scooby-Doo franchise Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated from Warner Bros. Animation, which currently airs Mondays at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network this edgier, bolder adaptation of the legendary cartoon finds our favorite pals Daphne, Fred, Velma and Shaggy, along with the mystery-solving Scooby-Doo, investigating strange occurrences in their hometown of Crystal Cove. Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated S1 V1 will feature the first four episodes of the series and will retail for $14.97 SRP.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated premiered as the #1 show on Cartoon Network with kids 6–11 and continues to be #1 in its time period among key demos. In the series, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are back, solving mysteries in the spooky town of Crystal Cove, a sleepy coastal village that boasts a long history of ghostly sightings, werewolves and glowing deep sea divers. Because of all the paranormal activity, Crystal Cove has become a tourist hotspot that capitalizes on its haunted reputation and the gang's meddling is therefore not appreciated by the people of Crystal Cove.

Each episode features a new mystery and it's up to the gang to solve it. In addition, there's a season-long mystery that the gang is uncovering along the way...a mystery that will change their lives forever once they've solved it. But the drama isn't limited to paranormal activities — the gang, portrayed as teens, deal with situations that arise within their families and in their personal relationships within the group.

Featured Episodes in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated S1 V1:

Ø "Beware the Beast from Below"

Ø "The Creeping Creatures"

Ø "Secret of the Ghost Rig"

Ø "Revenge of the Man Crab"

Executive produced by Sam Register, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated draws on the iconic look and feel of the original Scooby-Doo series and is presented in a modernized visual style created by some of today's leading animation artists. Each episode is presented like a miniature movie. The series' dramatic, cinematic visuals allow for added depth in each story, while still allowing the show's comedic tones to shine through.

"Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated S1 V1 is a real throwback to the original Scooby-Doo with spectacular, dramatic effects that grab the viewer's attention," said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President of Family, Animation & Partner Brands Marketing. He added, "Scooby-Doo is just as popular with kids and adults today as it was when it first debuted on TV. We are pleased to release this exciting, new adaptation of the series to consumers. This is a must-have title for Scooby-Doo fans and for anyone who appreciates great animation."

I had a chance to preview the new Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, season 1 Vol.1 DVD before it was released on January 25, 2011. Growing up, I was a huge fan of Scooby-Doo. But honestly I have not seen one for years. I don't even remember when was the last time I saw it again. So I was pretty excited to see it and introduce the show to my my kids. It is suggested for kids a littler older, 8 and up and my kids are one and 3 so I was not sure if my kids will like it.

It was pretty cool watching the show. I actually enjoyed it. My kids however did not care for it much. Libby was scared and keep saying it's scary mommy and wants to turn it off. But if your kids are a little older, they will definitely enjoy it. I will be keeping this DVD for sure and introduce it to her again when she's a little older.

Prima Princessa Swan Lake Present Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

My daughter, Olivia loves anything princesses and ballet. She loves wearing tutus. Sometimes I wonder if she's too young to like these stuff. Lately she's been obsessed with wearing dresses. She refuse to go outside if she's not wearing a "princess" dress. No wonder sometimes people think she does not look like a 2 years old!

I was so thrilled when given a chance to review the new DVD Prima Princessa Swan Lake Present . I knew Olivia was going to love it....And I was right! The moment she saw the DVD she wanted me to open it and play it right away. When she saw the little girls with tutus, she pulled me to her room to get her a tutu and said "common mommy...hurry hurry!" She danced until it ended. She even wanted to see it again but I did not let her. Not that I did not like it but it was seven in the morning and she was not the only one dancing. I was too! She wanted to be carried and twirled her around . She did not let me sit down!

About the DVD

“Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake” available March 2, 2010. For Ages 3-6

This DVD is designed by two mom-entrepreneurs on a mission to bring the beauty and magic of ballet into the lives of children everywhere. It is a hip new twist on learning about ballet, featuring the Paris Opera Ballet and Students from School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, Official Academy of New York City Ballet. Our 40 minute DVD is a cool, fun, beautiful show with a brain. Prima Princessa, an animated fairy ballerina, magically transports a group of little girls to see the Paris Opera Ballet perform select segments of Swan Lake. In between acts, the children return home to learn simple ballet steps which are playfully shown mixed into colorful montages of toys, animals, children and young dancers from the School of American Ballet.

We have watched it many times since we had it. Olivia's favorite part is when they teach you simple ballet steps. She looked so cute trying to copy the steps, even though she can't copy it exactly. The DVD is 40 minutes long. But honestly it did not felt that way. I guess when you are having fun time flies. I like that the narrator of the story is a little girl instead of a grown up. Olivia also paid more attention because she can relate to it. Hearing her repeating the names of the ballet steps are just too cute!

Overall, we love and enjoyed this DVD. I think any little girls would love to have this. I do wish that it teaches you more ballet steps. I definitely recommend this DVD. It would be a perfect gift for any occasions.

Prima Princessa Swan Lake Present DVD will be release on March 2, 2010 and available on Amazon.com and Target as well as other stores across the country.

Giveaway - One of you will win a copy of Prima Princessa Swan Lake Present for your little girls! All you have to do is go to www.PrimaPrincessa.com look around and tell me who would you give this DVD to? (Please visit the sponsor site)

So Smart! Reviews and Giveaway! (CLOSED)

I never heard of So Smart! until recently.I've seen the reviews from other blogs and I knew I wanted to try them for my daughters. I was so thrilled when I was given a chance to review their their DVDs.

So Smart! offers DVDs from babies through preschool age. I was given two DVDs to review for both my girls, Baby's First-Word Stories Pets and Baby's Beginnings Sight & Sounds.

Baby's First-Word Stories Pets DVD is designed for ages 1 and up which is perfect for Olivia (she's 2yrs old). The DVD is 30 minutes long, however, it's divided into 5 different stories (Hello Little Cat, My Pet Fish, Dee Dee's Dog, Where's the Frog?, and Iggy's Pet Friends)

About the DVD

In this DVD, So Smart! friends Edward, Iggy, Dee Dee and Larry will introduce your little one to simple words about pets, then build sentences and stories around them. A deliberately gentle pace, engaging imagery, and soothing music make So Smart! a winner for both children and parents.

I was surprise that Olivia actually sat and enjoyed watching it. The story is very slow pace. I like that sentences used are simple and often repeated. I also like that it encourages participation. At the end of each stories it ask what words they remember. I was amazed how Olivia knew and remembered all of them. She even knew all of the character's names after watching the DVD once. The animation is great. It is bright, simple and colorful. She also liked the music. When it ended, she wanted to see it again. I told her it's her sister's turn and she kept on saying "no mommy it's Libby's turn again."

The second DVD I was sent to review was the Baby's Beginnings Sight & Sounds. This DVD is designed for 6 months and up. It is also 30 minutes long and it is divided into four segments, Object that Build, Peek-a-Boo, Stimulating Patterns and Bright Bold Images.

About the DVD
This bright, bold animated DVD introduces simple shapes, moving patterns and familiar objects that encourages babies to laugh, "talk" and interact. Each scene is set to classical music including Bach, Beethoven and other great composers! A deliberately gentle pace, engaging imagery, and soothing music make So Smart! A winner of both children and parents.
Although Emma is only 3 months, she was glued to it. I sat her on her bouncer and she watched the whole thing! It reminds you to let the baby take a break each segments. But since Emma was not complaining, I did not paused it. Usually, she hates being on her bouncer and wants to be carried all the time. I think the music has a lot to do with it. It is very soothing and relaxing. Olivia did not mind watching it either. She loved the colors and moving shapes.

We love these DVDs and would love to own the whole collection! This would be a perfect gift for birthdays or any other occasions. Each DVDs come with bonus interactive storybook or printable activities (PC and MAC compatible) which I have not tried yet. Each DVDs retail for $15.99. They also offer multi-packs and gift sets to save you money. Aside from DVDs they also have Baby's Classical Music Cd's that are performed by live, world-class symphony orchestras.
