Tonight's Bedtime Story: It Will be Okay

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers program.

Whether we like it or not, growing up brings change. For many children, this conjures fears that are sometimes real and sometimes imagined. How can kids learn that even when they face new and unfamiliar situations, they don't have to be afraid?

Little Seed and Little Fox are facing changes and brand new circumstances-and they don't like it one bit! Through this unlikely friendship, children will discover that no matter how new or fearful their circumstances, God is always with them. The whimsical art by Natalia Moore will put a smile on kids' faces and put their minds at ease. Just as Little Seed and Little Fox learn to trust that the Farmer is good and kind, children will also learn to trust God.

It will be Okay is a really cute story about teaching kids how to trust God. We really enjoyed reading this book. It is a great way to teach kids not to be afraid and to always trust God. It is also a great reminder to us adults. My kids and I were able to discuss and share our fears to each other and how we can overcome them and to be patient and have faith that God has a purpose and better plan for us. This book also teaches kids about friendship. We adore Little Seed and Little Fox friendship. You can really feel how much they care for each other.

I Can Learn the Bible

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers program.

I Can Learn the Bible teaches scriptures in a way children can understand easily. It is a 52 week devotional that help kids learn the scriptures. It teaches kids new verses to memorize and learn every week. Each verse follows a devotional that is simple and easy to understand. We've set a day and time (every Saturday night) to read this book. Even though there are times that we forget to do it, my girls really enjoy doing our devotional time. I love that they are learning the scriptures and having fun learning and memorizing verses.

A Star for Jesus

*Product Sample Received. Contains affiliate link*

A Star for Jesus is a board book  by Crystal Bowman. I love that the cover of the book is die-cut to enhance the shape of a star. It makes it more appealing for little ones to pick up the book and read. My three year old daughter, Sophia wanted me to read it right away when she saw it.

This book is about Jesus birth. It's the perfect book to help little ones understand that God made the stars and that it means Jesus our Savior is born. The illustration is beautiful and I really like the rhyming text. It brings the story of Jesus' birth to life and keeps my kids attention.

Love Letters from God

*Product Sample Received*

We received the  Love Letter from God book to review.  This book is written by Glenys Nellist and illustrated by Sophie Allsopp. Everything about this book is beautiful. It's a hard cover book. The pages are thick and strong. The drawings are amazing! They are bright and colorful.

There are eighteen popular Bible stories in this book. Each story is short, simple, and easy to understand.   The main focus of each story is to let kids know  how much God loves them and that no matter what He will always be there for them.

There is a section called God's Wonderful Words for You in each story. It has a small verse for kids to memorize. I really like that. In fact I was so impressed when my daughter told me she knows a verse after she read Adam and Eve story "I will not remember your sin anymore" Iasiah 43:25. She said she can't wait to learn the rest of the Bible verses in this book.

My daughter's favorite part of the book is opening and reading her letter from God. What's great about these letters are that they are flip flop and attached to the book because we all know if it's not, it will get lost. There is also a space where you can write your child's name to make it even more personal.

At the end of the book it has an invitation to join Jesus's team and to have Jesus with you always. There's a blank letter that your child can write to God and reply to the invitation. We haven't done this part yet but I look forward doing it with my daughter.
