Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway

I love anything with coconuts. As a matter of fact, I just had coconut juice today. We also use coconut milk in many of our dishes. I think it has a lot to do with growing up in a tropical island. Recently I came across Tropical Traditions. I thought it was odd why I never heard of them since their products are made from the Philippines, where I was born and grew up. I shop in an Asian Store every month, and I never seen their products, only until I started blogging and entering giveaways.

I was sent their Virgin Coconut Oil to try out. Although a lot of our cooking are with coconuts, I never really used coconut oil before. So I just used it just like I normally use any oil or butter. The first thing I noticed when I opened it is that it is thick but once you put it on a hot pan it melted right away, so you really just need a little bit. The coconut oil gives off a lovely aroma as its cooks. I was surprised that it did not make my chicken taste like coconut. So don't worry that when cooking with coconut oil, everything will taste like coconut! However, I did noticed that there are certain food that you can taste a hint of coconut in it, specially on sweets. Another thing I like about coconut oil is that it is much healthier because when it’s heated it does not create toxic trans fatty acids.

Make sure you check their websites for free coconut recipes.

Go Green Lunch Box Review and Giveaway

Did you know a typical American child generate 67 pounds of lunch packaging waste each school year? That's a lot of waste! Packing your kids lunches to school not only will help eliminate those unnecessary wastes but it can also saves you money.

There are a lot of types of lunch boxes out there. But Go Green Lunch Box definitely stands out from the rest. I was sent a Go Green Lunch Box Confetti style to review. Just by looking at it, you can already tell that it is durable and well made.

When using Go Green Lunch Box, you will NEVER have to pack your kids lunch with ziplock bags and juice boxes. Each Go Green Lunch Box set comes with an insulated fabric carrier, a five-compartment food container, and a bottle that will hold over nine ounces of water or your child’s favorite drink. The compartments are perfect for everything your child needs for lunch. It allows you to separate them, instead of using ziplock bags. The biggest compartment is great for sandwiches, and the other 3 compartments you can put fruits, cookies, crackers, or whatever your kids like. The lid has a lock to prevent your child's food from spilling and sliding. You can even put yogurt, apple sauce, salad dressing, or pudding-like food products in the compartments because their “turn ‘n lock” technology ensures that your child’s lunch stays fresh and within its compartment. Therefore completely eliminating buying single serve snacks!

Other things to luv about Go Green Lunch Box
  • The food container is BPA free.
  • The water bottle is made of 100% stainless steel.
  • It has a erasable white board which you can use to write notes or reminders for your kids, instead of using papers or napkins.
  • Very easy to clean. Just wipe the insulated fabric carrier with damp cloth.
  • I love all their designs! It also comes with a name tag.
  • Affordable. It cost $29.99 and it comes with everything you need.
Bottom line, if you're looking for lunch box that is completely "GREEN", Go Green Lunch Box is for you. With Go Green Lunch Box you will not only help our environment but it can also save you a lot of money for never buying individually packaged food or plastic bags.

MJM Books: Customized Children's Book Review

Olivia loves to read books. She even prefers getting new books than toys. That is why I was thrilled when I was given the chance to review one of MJM Books.

I received What Animal Are You? book to review. It is very easy to customize your book and it only takes a few minutes. You can customize the appearance of the character such as hair color, eye color, skin tone, and even hairstyle to look more like your child. Aside from the physical characteristics, your child's name is also printed. You can even write a special message to your child.

Olivia loves the What Animal Are You? book. She loves animals so this books was perfect for her. The story is very interactive. It gets her involve by answering questions or doing actions, such as jumping like a frog. We have read this book many times and each time is like reading it for the first time. She loves making animals sounds. Her favorite part of the book is roaring like a dinosaur. Books like this is what makes reading fun!

Another reason to love MJM Books is that their books are affordable. They currently have four different stories and you can purchase them for $15.95. They are perfect for gifts! Use luvtosaveship code to get free shipping!

ecoStore USA Review and Giveaway

I never once cared using green or organic products until I had my kids. Now I just want the best for them. But sometimes going green and buying organics can be very expensive. That is why I am so happy to have found ecoStore USA.

ecostore USA knows that buying natural or organic products can be expensive. So they have found a way around it by safely super-concentrating each formulation. This means that a little really does go a long, long way. The result is saving you money by significantly cutting down on cost per use. And what is great is that all their products are made with “no nasty chemicals.”

I was sent Baby Nappy Balm and Baby Shampoo to review.

I have always used regular diaper rash ointment when Olivia was a baby and now I use it again with Emma. According to the tube label it is safe to use each diaper change. But I always wondered if it is really truly safe. It worries me if I'm exposing them to harmful chemicals. That is why I was so happy to try ecoStore USA Baby Nappy Balm because I know it has no nasty chemicals in it.

What I love about the Baby Nappy Balm is that it is not greasy. It goes on smooth. You only need a very small amount. So even if it is a little expensive compare to regular diaper rash ointment I've used, it last longer. I have been using it for a couple of weeks and I've only used very little, hardly any. It's good to know that even if I use it each diaper change, I am not exposing her to any nasty chemicals.

I have tried a few organic shampoos before for my kids. But what I love about the ecoStore USA Baby Shampoos is that you only need very little to clean my daughter's hair. It lathers up very easily and it gives you a lot of bubbles. Since I only need a little bit, I know this will last for a long time. I like that it is gentle and does not irritate her eyes. It also leaves her hair soft and shiny.

Aside from baby products, ecoStore USA also carries household, body, and pet products. All with "no nasty chemicals."

GIVEAWAY

ecoStore USA is giving one of my reader a $25 Gift Certificate! (FREE Shipping for ALL Orders of $25)

Bath Luve Review and Giveaway

My husband is the one that gives our kids a bath. It started when Olivia was a newborn and I was scared to give her a bath in the tub. I was afraid to slip and fall while holding her. Although he does the bathing, I'm always there to make sure the kids are kept warm specially when they are infants. Since you can't fill their tubs with water, I always put a warm wash cloth over them to keep them warm. He always tells me that that it does not makes a difference since wash cloths are so small it hardly covers them and that it does not really warm them up. He always tells me there has to be a better way.

Well there is a better way, Bath Luve. I was sent the Bath Luve Fish to review. The only thing I can say is that I wish I had one of this when Olivia was a baby. But I'm glad I got to try it for Emma.

How it all started:

When Amy Seckinger’s son Austin was born 10 years ago, she looked for something to make bath time more pleasant. “Before I put Austin in the tub, he was all warm and swathed and cuddly,” she says. But that calmness soon turned to frustration and crying once the clothes were off and only Austin’s back was placed in the warm water.
Thinking that bath time would go more smoothly if there wasn’t such a drastic temperature change, the Delafield resident designed a cloth covering the would cover her son’s chest and private parts. The idea, dubbed the Bath Luve, has gone from a mother’s practical solution to the mass-market retail world. (Taken from the website)

What I love about Bath Luve is that the size is perfect. It is not too big or small. It covers Emma's shoulder, chest, stomach and private area. And it still allows her to move her arms and legs. For the first time, she actually played with the water, splashing and kicking. I actually did not mind her staying longer in the water. It kept her warm and comfortable. I also like that is very soft.

I would definitely recommend Bath Luve to all parents with babies. It is also perfect for baby shower gifts. They are very affordable. Available at BathLuve.com for $6.99. They are also available at Kohl’s stores, Babies R Us, select Baby Depots and Walmart.com.

Misikko's Hana Professional Flat Iron Review

My sisters and I are blessed with thick hair. Unfortunately mine is unmanageable and frizzy. A few years ago I had it professionally straightened in the Philippines. I wish I can go back there and have it done again. I can't afford to have it done here. It would probably cost me $300 or even $500 to have it done compared to $50.

With two young kids I do not have time to blow dry and use flat irons to straighten my hair. It already takes us 2 hours to get ready to go out with my kids. After showering, I comb my hair and tie it up. Putting make-up? Forget about it. I don't remember when was the last time I put make- up! Sad isn't it?

Last week I had a chance to try out Misikko's professional flat irons. I was sent the Hana Professional Flat Iron 1’’ – Pink Edition to review. The reason why I stopped straightening my hair is that it would normally take me 30 minutes to straighten my hair, sometimes longer. I just don't have that time. But with the Hana Professional Flat Iron, I was able to straighten my hair in 10 minutes! It is by far the best flat iron I ever used. Below is a picture of me after using my new Hana Professional Flat Iron. Sorry no before picture. I was really excited to try it, I forgot to take a before picture.

Hana Professional Features:
  • Advanced Tourmaline Ceramic Plates for Accelerated Ion Generation and Maximum Frizz-Free, Conditioning Shine
  • Ceramic is naturally hygienic, protects color & retards fading
  • Floating 1” Plates Auto-Adjust To Glide Over Any Hair Texture
  • Curved Plate Edges For Versatile Styling - Curl, Flip or Straighten!
  • Adjustable Temperature Dial - 5 Settings from 140-450° F for All Hair Types
  • Flash Heats in Seconds with Instant Compensation for Heat Loss
  • Ergonomic Handle Design with No-Slip Grip
  • Smooth Grooves Keep Hair Strands Separate and Snag-Free
  • Tangle-Free Salon Quality Cord Swivels 360°; Convenient Hanging Loop
  • Energy Efficient at 38 Watts
  • Independent On/Off Switch
  • Includes Luxe Heat Proof Storage Pouch, Heat Proof Silicone Mat, & Special Edition Tin Case
  • Made in Korea
  • Two Year Warranty
I was also sent a Hana Shineshield. I placed a very small amount on my hair after I straightened it and it made my hair feel really soft and shiny. It felt lightweight not oily and greasy. It even smells good!

What I also love about Misikko is that they care about their customer. The Misikko's professional flat iron they sent me came very well packaged and it even came with other extra things. It was like opening a present. You can really tell they value their customer.

Make sure you visit and browse their Best Flat Irons, Chi flat iron and Chi hair straightener.
