Olivia loves to paint and draw. She loves to mix paint colors. Almost everyday she would ask me to either draw or paint. We have double easel that does chalk and dry erase, but she prefers to draw in real paper. I don't mind because I like to keep her art works.
Recently I had a chance to review Canson's new line of eco-friendly art supplies for kids featuring the illustration from The World of Eric Carle, “What Do You See?”. They are from recycled paper and soy-based ink cover art and manufactured using environmentally-friendly methods. They are also non-toxic and lead-free. The line includes pads for sketching, painting, tracing, and a variety of other creative activities.
I was really impressed with their quality. You would think they are not made for kids. I've taken art class when I was in high school and college and their quality are just like the one I've used before. I was very excited to let Olivia draw and paint on it. She's only 3 so she can't tell the difference. But these art supplies should be great for older kids. It will definitely encourage them to paint or draw more. I personally like them because I like to keep Olivia's paintings and having it in good quality paper makes a lot of difference.
Although Eric Carle product line are eco-friendly and high-quality, they are affordable. They are all under $10 each!
