I recently reviewed Shushybye Sleepover Surprise book, and Close Your Eyes CD, by The Shushybye Dream Band.

Book Description

SHUSHYBYE is the land way above the clouds where the Shushies (led by SNOOZLES, DOZIE AND ZEEZ) make dreams for children, then place them in SHUSHYBYE Dream Boxes, which are sent to sleeping children via the SHUSHYBYE Train driven by CONDUCTOR MCCLOUD. In order to get their SHUSHYBYEdreams each night, children have to go to sleep on time for the arrival of the SHUSHYBYE Train.

I never heard of Shushybye until I reviewed the book. I really like this book. I love the idea of encouraging kids to look forward to sleep. The book is fun to read. It is colorful and my daughter loves the characters from the book. Her favorite part is that the front and back of the book is glow in the dark! That alone will get kids to look forward reading it at bedtime!

Since Olivia is only 2, she's not quite ready for this book yet., but don't get me wrong she still loves this book. She's just used to reading picture books that has only 1 or 2 sentences in each page. Instead of reading it to her exactly from the book, I summarize each page for her. She gets very distracted easy and loves to flip the pages! She still able to understand the concept of it. She thinks I'm reading it word by word. The book also comes with a CD which reads for you and you just follow along and listen.

This would be perfect for Olivia when she's a little older. I will definitely continue to read this for her during bed time. Shushybye Sleepover Surprise book is our new addition to our bedtime routine!

I also got a chance to review the Close Your Eyes CD, by The Shushybye Dream Band. My daughter and I loves this CD! At first I thought it would be all lullabies to help kids sleep, but I was wrong. You can actually dance with the music. It is fun and entertaining. You can play it not just at bedtime but through out the day. Our favorite song is Feels Like Magic.
