Hope for Haiti - Save the Children

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

All our hearts were saddened when we learned of the devastating Earthquake that rattled Haiti this past January. I'm sure many of you have donated or have done something to help. If you would like to help in some other way you can. If you are expecting and would like to store your child's blood cord, I would recommend checking out Cryo-Cell. Cryo-Cell will donate $25 from each enrollment to the “Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund.”

Cord blood, or umbilical cord blood, is blood that remains in the umbilical cord and placenta at the time of birth. This blood is usually discarded following delivery. But when scientists discovered it has a rich source of stem cells, umbilical cord blood became a viable substitute to bone marrow in thousands of successful transplants. Cells taken from your newborn are a perfect match for your baby for his or her lifetime.

When a child contracts a disease and must be treated with chemotherapy or radiation, it can usually lower your child's immune system. The stored cord blood can be use to help repopulate your child's blood and immune system as a result of complications from other treatments.

If you are interested enroll now! Not only your protecting your child and families future, you are also helping rebuild the future for the children of Haiti.
