I've used the same (green) bulb syringe for more than 2 years now. I've used it when Olivia was born and now again I'm using it for Emma. It works great, I just don't like that you cannot clean it well. And to be honest I don't always clean it after each use. And no matter how much I cleaned it, I can never sure if it is completely clean.
When Olivia and Emma was both sick, I could not stand letting them use the same bulb syringe. It was like letting them share germs! While searching for my other options, I came across Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator. I took my chance and I asked them to try their products. I was so thrilled when they agreed. They sent me their Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator Kit along with their Single Use Saline Nasal Spray and some Replacement Tips to review.
About the Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator Kit
Once the battery is in, the Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator is ready to use. You just put the tip inside and press the button to suction which causes the balloon to inflates. Once it is completely inflated you can deflate it by pressing the edge of the tip to release the air and it's ready to be use again.
My first experience with Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator was not so great. I was frustrated because I could not suction anything. The good thing was Emma did not mind being suctioned because the tip is very soft. But I was very disappointed that it did not work.
Last week Olivia had a terrible cold. She was so congested she needed to be suctioned all the time! I told my husband to try Cleanoz again. And I am really glad I gave it another try. I don't know what he did but now it works GREAT! I don't think I will ever go back to my (green) bulb syringe again! Olivia also did not mind being suctioned with it. Usually she runs away from me but with using the Cleanoz, she was not screaming or crying while being suctioned. It helped her breathe so much better. The next day she was already feeling well.
It is not only comfortable for kids but I also find it much easier and quicker to suction compare to a bulb syringe. It usually takes me a couple of times to suction my kids to get a good result but with the Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator I only have to suction once each their nostrils. Adding the saline drops also makes a lot of difference. It loosen the thick mucus, making it so much easier to suction and more effective.
More reasons to love Cleanoz
- No Need to Clean it after each use. It saves you a lot of time.
- The nozzle tips are disposables. No cross contamination. I can use the same aspirator for Olivia and Emma and I don't have to worry about sharing germs.
- The nozzle tips are soft and flexible. It's comfortable for babies and toddlers.
- Very easy to use and fun too!
- The dolphin-shaped make it easy to hold.
Now you can finally say good bye to your old, unsanitary nasal bulb syringes that your kids hate! You can purchase the Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator Kit on their website for $29.99.

I really like that they have disposable tips and no cross contamination. The regular syringes gross me out. They need to market these to hospitals that way the parents would go home with one!

I learned that the Cleanoz is very easy to clean by ---- Emptying the reservoir by bending the nozzle tip with your thumb. This opens the reservoir valve and allows the secretions to be removed.
